CIRL Community and Safety Rules
Terms package 2026-09-12
These rules are part of the Terms of Service. They apply to everyone using Connect In Real Life (CIRL).
Who CIRL is for
Adults 18+. CIRL includes friendship, activities, dating-style fields, and in-person meetings. It is not a children’s product.
Be decent
Treat people with respect. Do not harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, or shame others. Do not share someone’s private information (home address, workplace, phone, images) without a lawful reason.
Offensive language, racism, and hate (including slurs aimed at a person or group) can lead to a warning, suspension, or deletion of the account. CIRL may also hide or remove the content.
No child sexual abuse or exploitation
CIRL has a zero-tolerance standard against child sexual abuse, exploitation, and child sexual abuse material (including generated or “fictional” depictions of children). Do not sexualize minors. Do not try to meet minors. If you see it, report it immediately (in-app Report or support@cirl.app, subject “Child safety”). We will remove content we can control and escalate as the law requires. We do not run background checks on users.
Other prohibited harm
No scams, phishing, or fake listings. No non-consensual intimate images. No spam. No malware. No illegal drugs or weapons trade. No using CIRL to organize violence.
Meetings
CIRL does not verify identity and is not an emergency line. Meet in public if you can. You can block and report. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services.
Organizing
Listings must be honest. Do not use attendee lists for unsolicited marketing.
What CIRL may do
We may hide content, limit features, or close accounts. Appeals: support@cirl.app, subject “Moderation appeal”. We are a solo operator and do not promise instant replies or 24-hour coverage.
